Welcome to the Banco de la República Gold Museum! The Gold Museum invites you to find out about the ancient inhabitants of Colombia, about the people who lived in the country before the first Europeans arrived. People 2,000 or 500 years ago who worked metals, used them, symbolised them, and then offered them up in order to bring about life and equilibrium in the world.
